Personality Test Lab is a personality, lifestyle, relationship, career, social, and entertainment quiz app. The quizzes are for entertainment and self-reflection only. They do not provide psychological diagnosis, medical advice, career advice, relationship counseling, or professional assessment.
Information we collect
The app may process or store the following types of information:
- Quiz answers and results: Your selected answers, generated result types, scores, and result history may be stored locally on your device so you can view previous results.
- App settings: Language, appearance/theme preferences, and similar app preferences may be stored locally on your device.
- Advertising data: We use Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics, and advertising-related information according to Google’s policies.
- AI interpretation requests (optional): If you choose to use the optional AI-powered interpretation feature, the quiz answers and results needed to generate that interpretation are sent to DeepSeek, a third-party AI service provider. This happens only when you use the feature.
- Consent information: In regions where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform may ask for advertising/privacy consent and store your consent choices.
- Purchase information: If paid features are added in the future, purchases and subscriptions will be processed by Google Play Billing. We may use purchase tokens and subscription status to unlock paid features.
How we use information
- To provide quizzes, calculate results, and show result history.
- To remember your language, theme, and app preferences.
- To show ads and measure ad performance.
- To comply with privacy, consent, fraud prevention, billing, and app store requirements.
- To improve app stability and user experience.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your quiz answers or result history. Information may be processed by service providers that help operate the app, including Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, Google User Messaging Platform, and DeepSeek (only when you use the optional AI interpretation feature). These services may process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Optional AI-powered interpretations
The app offers optional AI-powered interpretations of your quiz results. When you request an AI interpretation, the app sends the relevant quiz answers, result type, and scores to DeepSeek (Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd.), a third-party AI service, to generate the interpretation text. We do not send your name, contact details, or account information with these requests, and the app does not require an account.
If you do not use the AI interpretation feature, your quiz answers are not sent to DeepSeek. DeepSeek processes this information according to its own terms and privacy policy, available at deepseek.com, and its servers may be located outside your country. AI-generated interpretations are for entertainment and self-reflection only and are not professional advice.
Local storage and data deletion
Quiz history and settings are primarily stored on your device. You can delete local app data by clearing the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app. If future versions add an account system or cloud backup, the app will provide additional deletion instructions.
Advertising
The app uses Google AdMob to display ads. Depending on your region and choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. You may be shown a consent form where required by law or Google policy.
Subscriptions and purchases
If paid features are added, subscriptions and purchases will be handled through Google Play Billing. Google Play may process payment information and subscription status. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Children
Personality Test Lab is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Sensitive and health information
The app’s quizzes are not clinical tests. The app does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or mental health condition. If you are experiencing serious emotional distress, please contact a qualified professional or local emergency services.
International users
Service providers used by the app may process information in countries other than your own. By using the app, you understand that information may be processed according to the policies of those providers.
